Fire Training 7 19 24At G.O. Carlson Inc., we recognize the critical importance of safety in fostering a secure and efficient workplace culture. Our commitment to safety is demonstrated through continuous initiatives aimed at improving safety protocols across all levels of our operations. A recent highlight of this commitment is our enhanced fire safety training program.

Jake Felmlee, our Safety Coordinator, has been instrumental in organizing numerous training events at G.O. Carlson Inc. Recently, he facilitated comprehensive fire safety training sessions for several Teams. The training emphasized the correct use of fire extinguishers, utilizing the PASS technique: Pull the pin, Aim at the base of the fire, Squeeze the handle, and Sweep at the base of the fire until it is completely extinguished.

Todd Anthony, a former volunteer firefighter currently working at the Wrought Products facility, led the training at this location. He conducted two sessions to accommodate all three crews, with a total of thirty-eight participants. Additionally, Bill Lamberton, who served over 20 years with the Oil City Fire Department and now works in our melt shop, trained the majority of our Main Office staff, including management representatives. In total, twenty staff members received this vital training.

These efforts ensure that safety remains a top priority in our operations, reinforcing our commitment to continuous improvement. We believe that a well-prepared Team is not only an asset to G.O. Carlson Inc. but also to the broader community.
