Every September, as the temperatures start to cool down, Electralloy and G.O. Carlson Plate holds a customer appreciation outing that features some hot sporting competition and even hotter charity donations. This yearís charity raffle was for the benefit of the American Cancer Society.
At this yearís outing, held September 22nd, the spirit of competition was strong throughout the day as customers, vendors and friends enjoyed playing 18 holes of golf at the Wanango Country Club and a sporting clay shooting competition at ìThe Busted Flushî.
The spirit of giving was just as strong, with many customers, vendors and friends donating items for an auction and a raffle. At the end of the day a total of $5,520 was raised. When that total was announced, Russ Kirchner, of HPA Alloy, announced HPA would match that amount, bringing the total donation to over $11,000.
ìThe local charity auction has become an annual tradition that just gets better and better. Weíre so pleased with the generosity of all our business partners, vendors and friends and we are delighted to be able to provide the American Cancer Society with this type of donation,îsaid Electralloy President, Tracy Rudolph.
