Effective with Stainless Bar new order placements of May 15, 2010, for Electralloyís ìFIRMî Bar Program Pricing and July 1, 2010, shipments for ìFLEXî Bar Program Pricing, the company will increase base prices on selected air melted and all remelted grade stainless approximately
2- 4%. No changes will be made to the surcharge formula as Electralloy will continue to apply raw material surcharges on all bar products. The Electralloy surcharge formula does not include an energy surcharge, a copper surcharge or a nickel premium.
 
The price adjustments became necessary to recover non-surcharged raw materials, significant consumables and manufacturing cost increases.
