Even a cool and rainy day couldnít dampen the spirits of those who attended a special Open House for Electralloyís new Wrought Products facility.
Located in Cherrytree Pa., the new facility was the star attraction during an open house tour and appreciation dinner held September 15th for Electralloy customers and other invited guests.
In addition to the tour, guests also enjoyed shooting sporting clays at ìThe Busted Flushî and golf at Wanango Country Club. Over 100 valued customers and invited guests travelled from as far away as Texas, Washington and Canada to tour the Electralloy melt, remelt and Wrought Products Facility.
The newly commissioned Wrought Product Cherrytree facility, officially started production in May of this year. A Grand Opening ceremony for all G.O. Carlson Inc. employees and their families was held May 22nd.
The state-of-the-art machining, processing and finishing facility provides over 100,000 square feet of manufacturing space and 5,000 square feet of office space. Equipment was strategically selected to ensure fast, efficient, high-quality bar and billet conversion services. Primary equipment includes: five new cranes, from 15-to 50-tons of lifting capacity, nine saws with capacity to cut up to a 60" X 60" cross section, and a cold finishing bar cell with capabilities of finishing 2" to 12" diameter in lengths up to 30 feet. The bar cell contains polishing, straightening and laser measuring capable of producing precision tolerances and finishes.
